Tom & Jerry

These ingredients are proportioned to make many servings.

  • 1 bottle of Asbach Uralt Private Brand 8yr Brandy
  • 1 bottle of Hamilton Jamaica Rum
  • 12 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Milk
  • Pinch of ground allspice
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of ground cloves
  • Nutmeg

Start by separating the eggs. Then beat the egg whites until they form a stiff froth. Add sugar to the yolks and then beat them until they are as thin as water, gradually adding in 4 ounces of brandy and a pinch of allspice, cinnamon and cloves. Fold the whites into the yolk-brandy mixture.

When ready to serve, give the Tom & Jerry batter another good stir, then put 1 tablespoon into a mug. Then add 1 ounce brandy, 1 ounce rum, and fill to the top with hot milk, stirring the entire time to avoid curdling. Sprinkle a little grated nutmeg on top. Then enjoy with family and friends.
